87, 243, 242233 response reading 87. Revelation 21 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." He who was seated on the throne said, "I am making everything new!" hymnal 243 1 Face to face with Christ, my Savior, face to face what will it be? When with rapture, face to face I behold Him. Face to face with Christ, my Savior with rapture I behold Him, who died for me. Face to face I shall behold Him far beyond the stary sky, face to face in His glory face to face in all glory face to face I shall behold Him by and by. 2 Only faintly now I see Him, with the darkling veil between, But a blessed day is coming very soon, when His glory shall be seen, hallelujah, face to face Hs is coming, I shall behold Him, who died for me. Face to face I shall behold Him far beyond the stary sky, face to face in His glory face to face in all glory face to face I shall behold Him by and by. 3 What rejoicing in His presence, when are banished grief and pain; when the crooked ways are straightened at once, and the dark things shall be plain, hallelujah when He will come. Face to face I shall behold Him, who died for me. Face to face I shall behold Him far beyond the stary sky, face to face in His glory face to face in all glory face to face I shall behold Him by and by. 4 Face to face O blissful moment! Face to face to see and know; face to face with my Redeemer of my soul, Jesus Christ who loves me so! Hallelujah, I shall see Him, face to face I shall behold Him, who died for me. Face to face I shall behold Him far beyond the stary sky, face to face in His glory face to face in all glory face to face I shall behold Himf by and by. Joshua 24:22-33 22 Then Joshua said, "You are witnesses against yourselves that you have chosen to serve the LORD." "Yes, we are witnesses," they replied. 23 "Now then," said Joshua, "throw away the foreign gods that are among you and yield your hearts to the LORD, the God of Israel." 24 And the people said to Joshua, "We will serve the LORD our God and obey him." 25 On that day Joshua made a covenant for the people, and there at Shechem he drew up for them decrees and laws. 26 And Joshua recorded these things in the Book of the Law of God. Then he took a large stone and set it up there under the oak near the holy place of the LORD. 27 "See!" he said to all the people. "This stone will be a witness against us. It has heard all the words the LORD has said to us. It will be a witness against you if you are untrue to your God." 28 Then Joshua sent the people away, each to his own inheritance. 29 After these things, Joshua son of Nun, the servant of the LORD, died at the age of a hundred and ten. 30 And they buried him in the land of his inheritance, at Timnath Serah in the hill country of Ephraim, north of Mount Gaash. 31 Israel served the LORD throughout the lifetime of Joshua and of the elders who outlived him and who had experienced everything the LORD had done for Israel. 32 And Joseph's bones, which the Israelites had brought up from Egypt, were buried at Shechem in the tract of land that Jacob bought for a hundred pieces of silver from the sons of Hamor, the father of Shechem. This became the inheritance of Joseph's descendants. 33 And Eleazar son of Aaron died and was buried at Gibeah, which had been allotted to his son Phinehas in the hill country of Ephraim. Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors, And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. amen.
