response reading 133. Easter (1) PRES: But God raised him from the dead, freeing him from the agony of death, CONG: because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on him. PRES: But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. CONG: Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord PRES: While they were still talking about this, Jesus himself stood among them and said to them, "Peace be with you." CONG: They were startled and frightened, thinking they saw a ghost. PRES: He said to them, "Why are you troubled, and why do doubts rise in your minds? CONG: Look at my hands and my feet. It is I myself! Touch me and see; PRES: a ghost does not have flesh and bones, as you see I have." CONG: But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. PRES: Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?" CONG: "Yes, Lord," she told him, "I believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God, who was to come into the world."
