PRES: Honor your father and your mother,
CONG: so that you may live long in the land the LORD your God is giving you.
PRES: Listen, my son, to your father's instruction and do not forsake your mother's teaching.
CONG: They will be a garland to grace your head and a chain to adorn your neck.
PRES: Listen to your father, who gave you life, and do not despise your mother when she is old.
CONG: May your father and mother be glad; may she who gave you birth rejoice!
PRES: Children, obey your parents in the LORD, for this is right
CONG: Honor your father and mother, which is the first commandment with a promise - that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth.
